Innovent and The International Poetry Library of San Francisco, Collaborate on the production of the 3rd SF International Poetry Festival.?A Labyrinth of Books, a Surprise Guest and Poetry Readings by Creative Young Minds

(San Francisco, CA ? July 18, 2012) Innovent, a leading provider of transmedia tools and technologies and the International Poetry Library of San Francisco (IPLSF) will be blending transmedia and poetry to draw new audiences to this year?s San Francisco International Poetry Festival July 26-29, 2012.?schedule is as follows : SFIPF Schedule
?Patrons of the arts, students and poets alike will have a unique opportunity to experience poetry through music, installation art, and emerging media,? said Innovent Chief Marketing Officer Elise Baugh. ?With a broad mixture of entertainment projects, attendees will be able to partake in experiential literature and hear readings from the great poets of our time, Hirschman, Ferlinghetti and many more.
Visual artist and photographer Lars Howlett will be creating the ?Literary Labyrinth? made entirely of out of books. This installation art will be used to draw audiences into the festival experientially. The public will have the chance to both help create and navigate the meditative literature Installation. ?Poetry books can be both donated and purchased during the labyrinth?s installation at Civic Plaza.
?In addition to the interactive literary projects and poetry readings from professional poets, we are working with California Poets in Schools to give high school poets a platform to express their creativity through a personal poetry reading as well as collaborative poetry project, Friday the 27th at the Koret Auditorium, ? said IPLSF?s director Kimberly Escamilla. ?One of the guiding principles of our organization is to encourage budding poets the chance to boost confidence in their skills, reach out to other poetry lovers and gain feedback from seasoned professionals.?
The event?s surprise guest on Thursday evening will be utilizing dynamic artistic mediums to entertain audiences and poetry lovers alike with new, creative art forms. It will prove to be an unforgettable opening night for attendees.
